May also be happier.And I am not by the side of only Love OR only Arranged marriages. Both had the happiest couples. So I consider the way that couples stay happy in marriage and not the type of marriage.
I don’t think marriage works because people are more conservative?
I had an arranged marriage and I know this guy a year before marriage .I really had no regrets.we love, respect and support each other. This is how my marriage works!!! For me both worked better for marriage. After marriage (love/arranged), it purely depends on understanding and respecting each other.May be or may be not. I don’t think parents just choose a guy just by his job or looks. They enquire and take a lot of time to select perfect partner for their loving daughter. But there is no 100% guarantee. Also there is no 100% guarantee that husband respects his wife in love marriage.It just depends on the right guy we/parents choose.
These days no one are blindly marrying the guy parents chose. They just talk to him,observe him,know the family details and then time to say “yes/no”.If love marriages are successful.. Why the rate of divorces are more in love marriages and only 1% in arranged marriages???! Moreover all arranged marriages have parents support compared to love marriages..but some love marriages are successful even though there is no support of parents..
So, I think , it’s not the matter of love/arranged … It’s the matter of choosing the right soulmate.
