Blackheads, pimples, pus or bumps, all are typical of acne and all have one common characteristic – the “Eww” factor. It looks filthy and makes you look even more filthier. Oftentimes I wonder why does acnedisfigure my face? Why not some other part of my body?

Acne is caused when oil and dead skin cells clog up pores of your skin. It is a common skin condition found in both men and women. Popping a pimple will make it look worse. Letting it stay will do no better. So what do we do?

If your ‘Number 2’ is irregular, it might as well be the cause of acne. Irregular or slow bowel movement builds up toxins. This ultimately reflects on your face. When unwanted toxins are flushed out of the body, your skin glows beautifully. Regular bowel movements are a secret of healthy looking skin. To initiate ‘Nature’s call,’ avoid overeating fibrous food. Fiber has the tendency of slowing down bowel movements. Include veggies, oats and water in your diet.

  • Scrubbing face too often

Cleansing face is meant to keep skin crystal clear. Over cleansing does it otherwise. Constant cleansing, over scrubbing and extra washing of your face disturbs its pH level. Bacteria sneaks into this disturbed condition and settles in your pores. Acne can be prevented if you start using zinc-induced products and products containing bentonite clay to detoxify skin.

To get the required exposure, take 10-15 minutes of your time and spend it with the lonely Sun. Try to sit away from the air conditioner since it will strip H2O from your skin. Thus soaking with send happy signals from the nerve endings of your feet to the brain. This will reduce stress, make you happy and give back your immune system the power to fight acne.
