If you believe in the quote” She knew she loved him when ‘home’ went from being a place to being a person, then this short film TAKE ME HOME, by Ankita and Akash is truly justifiable for it has touched the peak of a Utopian fairytale wedding. Shot amidst the royal grace of Udaipur under the production banner WEDDING NAMA, the 6.25-minute video captures the union of two souls Neil and Riddhima as they begin a new journey of a matrimonial alliance. Interestingly, these two souls had never thought that their love story would be framed in the cinematographic reels. It was only during their pre-wedding visit to India, after a short trip from the US, that they came up to WEDDING NAMA to share their beautiful love story.
With the soulful song “KesariyabalamaavoniPadharoni mare” as the background score, each shot captures the beautiful moments of pre wedding romance to the final tie-knot of the two lovebirds where society is an eyewitness to their royal wedding. It’s not exactly about Neil and Riddhima’s union, but also the union of the two families, the Mehta and the Gandhis respectively. Whether it’s the decoration, Haldi, bachelor’s party, or Sangeet Ceremony each and every moment was rooted in the context of a typical Indian wedding captivating romance, joy, blessings and exchange of congratulations. For Neil, Riddhima is as beautiful as without makeup, and feels she is just the one meant for him, while Riddhima finds him genuine and promises to forever remain the girl he fell in love in 2011.
