Winter can be a tough in any country. It can really be a challenge to keep your skin looking fresh and clean, with all your make up products. So, here is a step by step guide to keeping your skin fresh in the winter.
-
Bathe Regularly
It is the well-kept secret that, most of us don’t like to get out of our snuggly clothes and blankets in the morning and have been known to skip the shower once in a while. The reason for that is simple, you don’t sweat as much in the winters so you think that you don’t need to shower. That may be the case but, showering regularly is necessary in the winters. You need to get rid of the dead skin and especially clear your pores or else, your skin will start looking loose and dull.
-
The Tub
Alright ladies, winters are here and for those of you with a tub, its tub time! You wait all year long to use the tub, that occupies so much space because, let’s be honest no one has ever filled the tub up during the summers. So, rub yourself with olive or almond oil and get in that tub. You can even add some bath salts to it for a better experience and even get yourself a book to read, while you soak the heat in. Bliss!
-
Moisturize
So now that you are all clean, you will feel the need to moisturize your skin. Use a moisturizer, which will hydrate your skin and not leave it greasy. This is very important. If your skin is sensitive, be very careful what products you use. Consider going to a dermatologist for advice. Use deep moisturizing masks for your hands and feet, which can be left overnight to tackle dryness. For your face, use a mild face wash because, you don’t want your skin to dry out. As for shampoos, never ever shampoo your hair with boiling hot water. Always use slightly cold water as, it will avoid making your hair look dull and will give it more shine. You have to remember to use conditioner every time as well. Consider going for a hair spa once a month.
-
Face
Since, your body will mostly be covered in clothe the whole time, your face is the only thing that will be exposed. Use a mild cleanser to wash your face. After that, apply a good moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. Even if you have oily skin still, don’t skip the moisturizer. Apply a layer of bb cream on top of that. For winters, prefer the liquid one over the stick and spread it evenly over your face.
-
Makeup
Follow the creams with a light layer of compact to cover up your blemishes .This is a simple make up routine to avoid any excess make up on your face. Apply more compact on your eyes as, the moisturizer would make it greasy. Also, apply a little bb cream on your lips to hold the lipstick on for longer. Follow this basic make up with some eyeliner, kajal and mascara and in just 5 minutes you will be good to go. Do remember to moisturize your face at night, after taking the makeup off as well.
So, welcome the harsh and dry winters with a smile on your face this year and every year of your life!
