5 Things to never keep at home according to Vaastu Shastra!

Not many of you might agree but Vaastu Shastra plays a very important role when it comes to adept construction of a house. Vaastu Shastra is basically the science that is applied behind the construction of a building. Experts have revealed that Vaastu Shastra brings out the lucid nature of joy, well-being and wealth via good luck to the people residing in the house.

Here is a list of five things that you should never keep in your home according to the science of Vaastu Shastra. These things are said to act as negative forces for the residents and are said to bring them bad luck and misery.

BATTLE PICTURES AND PAINTINGS

Vaastu Shastra experts say that we should never keep the paintings or pictures of a war scene at our home. Pictures of war from Ramayana and Mahabharata are absolutely discarded by the experts to be kept at home. They believe that this would bring disintegrated vibes inside the house and often depicts that the family members are in a state of rivalry.

CACTUS PLANTS

Cactus or any kind of thorny plants are a complete No-No for the house. Experts say that thorny plants inside a home indicate that the warmth between the family members is non-existent and deserted. It is suggested that apart from the roses every prickly plant should be removed from a house.

NEGATIVE IMAGES

We should always be picky when we chose wall paintings for our new home because some images can be very harmful for the peaceful aura of your home. For example, a painting of a tree without fruits, flowers or leaves should not be hung inside your home. Similarly, images where a person is crying or is upset, caged birds or animals etc. are all considered to bring bad omen to the house and therefore, must not be hung inside the house.

TAJ MAHAL

No doubt that Taj Mahal is explicitly wonderful and an unmatched beauty but people tend to forget that it is a grave. Many Indians without a thought buy Taj-Mahal and keep it as a show piece in their house. Taj-Mahal signifies death and grief and therefore, there is nothing exuberant or romantic about it to be kept at home.

BROKEN MIRRORS

We all are familiar to this one as several Bollywood movies have portrayed broken mirrors as a bad omen that brings destruction and turbulence for family members. Not only mirrors but broken glasses, statues or even any cutlery item should be immediately removed from the house once they are cracked.

Some other things to note while constructing your home according to Vaastu Shastra norms-

  • For fortunate beginnings, a Bhumi-Pooja must be performed at the site before the construction begins.
  • Never construct Kitchen directly in front of the main door.
  • Bedrooms should be constructed either in square or rectangular shapes.
  • The toilets, kitchen and Pooja room in the house should never be end-to-end to each other.
  • Mop the floor twice a week with sea salt water to protect your house from negative energies.

Since the Vastu Shastra experts are growing in numbers day by day, it is certain that each one of them will have their own set of advice to offer. But the above mentioned tips are the very basic principles that one must follow to ensure Vastu Shastra obedience at your home. It is upto you what advice you wish to take and which ones to discard but make sure that you do not completely discard the concept of Vastu Shastra as it is an absolute must to stand by the rules of construction science for positive and happy living.
