One of the world’s most famous artists, Job Bon Jovi has over 130 million album sales under his name. So, what does a superstar like him do to fight world hunger? Well, he opened JBJ Soul Kitchen, a unique community restaurant with no prices listed on the menu! Customers can savour gourmet-quality meals at the restaurant and that to with no price cap on them. However, if they wish to donate, they can leave the money inside an envelope or choose to volunteer for work in exchange for the meal. Now, how cool is that?

Sir Elton John has been an active vocalist for the global fight against AIDS since the ’80s. He established the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) in 1992 which has, since then, raised well over $200 million to support HIV/AIDS programs in fify-five countries. The foundation aims at raising awareness and bettering the lives of people suffering from the dreaded disease. Since 1993, the organization has also been hosting the annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Award Party thus bringing the much-needed spotlight for the cause.

Angelina Jolie’s Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation

Listed on countless “most beautiful women” lists across the world, the lovely Angelina Jolie is a good samaritan at heart. She is eminent for her appointment by the UN as their UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. Her humanitarian deeds have taken her to meet refugees stranded in more than 20 countries including India and Pakistan. She and Brad Pitt co-founded the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation in 2006 which, in its first year of inception, donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders. The oscar-winning actor has been bestowed with numerous awards, including the Global Humanitarian Award by the United Nations, for her work with UNHCR and refugees.
