Are you in the right job? Find out

Not many of us can claim to have found the perfect career because in our rush to get a job we often end up making the worst possible career mistake. If you have landed the career of your dreams then there can be nothing better for you but if you are tied down to a wrong career then life is going to be difficult for you. Look out for these signs to know whether you have made a wrong career mistake or not.

  1. You are always Complaining

It doesn’t matter what assignments you are given, if you are constantly complaining about your work then it clearly means that you are not the right fit for this job. It is better if you look out for other job opportunities for you are never going to be happy in this job.

  1. You do not take pride in your Job

A person is generally proud of his profession and the work he performs. However on being asked about your work if you change the topic or do not have anything to say about it then it means that you are in the wrong job.

  1. You struggle to get through it

There are days when we do not like to work and struggle through the day’s schedule. But if this happens to you on a daily basis then it clearly means you are not satisfied with your job.

  1. Your interest don’t match your career choice

All of us are blessed with certain skills and talents which are suited to a particular job. Check whether your skills match your job. If that happens, you are going to be one happy person but if they do not match, you should probably go for a career change.

  1. You are envious of other people’s jobs

You are aware of a friend or relative who has a job of which you are seriously envious. You wish if only you had that job, everything would be perfect. This clearly shows that you are not happy in your current job.

  1. You are only doing it for money

Sometimes we choose a job based purely on the massive pay cheque provided to us. The money angle influences us to choose a career over one which we truly desire. If you have taken up a job purely based on the pay factor then clearly it is a wrong job for you.

  1. You have no motivation to go to work

The perfect job is one where you look forward to each day with a lot of expectations and enthusiasm. But if it is the other way round and you constantly feel demotivated and dispirited when going to work, it can only mean one thing that you are not fit for this job.

If you feel that a wrong career mistake is tying you down then do not hesitate to throw it off. For only when you are happy in your job will you be happy and at peace with yourselves.
