This perception was proved wrong when some women showed their mettle and displayed compelling examples to show that this is nothing more than a mere fundamentalist misconception. Success is possible for every woman! Here we introduce you 10 exceptional women that show how capable and successful can be!!! So take these women as role model to follow.

Sonia Gandhi 

She was born in Italy on Dec 9, 1946. She is the spouse of late Rajiv Gandhi who was the former Prime Minister of India. She is currently 66 years old and has been recently re-elected for the fourth time to serve as the president of Indian National Congress. She has also served as the chairperson of the ruling United Progressive Alliance since 2004. She had been alleged for being a middleman in the Bofors scandal, but in spite of this she is serving selflessly to the Indian public.

Sania Mirza

She is a professional tennis player and the spouse of the famous cricketer Shoaib Malik. Sania was born on Nov 15, 1986. She has been criticized many times for indecent clothing and vulgar pictures, but instead of grumbling to anyone she showed her devotion towards the game. She has become an inspiration for many aspiring young ladies. She reached success!!!

Kirthiga Reddy

She is the youngest business leader in India. She has worked with Silicon Graphics in the U.S. She has never restricted herself to her job description and has gone well beyond that every time. Her purpose was to achieve something big in life and now she is the operational head of Facebook. She has also urged Facebook to support NGOs. How impressive is that?

She is 36 years old and is a very well known actress across the Indian film industry for her bold roles. Vidya is the recipient of several awards and has always challenged the industry norms. Indra Nooyi

She is the current chairperson of Pepsi. She has directed the company’s global strategy for more than a decade and led Pepsi through a restructuring. She has followed a unique leadership style in which she writes reports to the parents of employees who perform exceedingly well. According to Forbes, she is consistently ranked among the world’s 100 most powerful women. If that isn’t real success I don’t know what it is.

Shilpa Shetty

She is a well known Bollywood actress. A few years ago, she won the UK reality show Big Brother. She became the victim of racist bullying, but instead that she knocked down every hurdle that came her way. She also holds approx. 11.7% stake in IPL franchise cricket team Rajasthan Royals.

Kiran Bedi

She is a retired Indian police officer and was the first woman who formally joined as an IPS officer. She has made a lot of efforts to end rigging of the system and to make elections transparent. She has never shown any sign of bowing down to political pressure ever in her life. She has also set up a rehabilitation center to serve drug addicts.
